About our school

We are a School for Specific Purpose (SSP). We support students along side Youth Justice staff, in Riverina Juvenile Justice Centre. Shepherds Park School is a specialist Youth Justice educational setting dedicated to supporting young people in their learning journey and personal growth. We work with all revelvant stakeholders involved the care of the young people we encounter, custodial and community staff, families, carers and support staff to make a learning and wellbeing plan for each student. This means all students can learn in a way that suits them best.We focus on delivering tailored programs that prioritise literacy and numeracy development, helping students build essential skills for academic success and life beyond school.

Our school provides a supportive, safe, and respectful environment where every student is valued and encouraged to realise their potential. Through individualised learning plans, evidence-based teaching, and strong wellbeing initiatives, we aim to foster positive pathways towards further education, vocational training, and meaningful employment.

Shepherds Park School also offers nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) opportunities, preparing students with practical skills and accreditation to support their transition to work and community engagement. Our dedicated staff work collaboratively with families, community organisations, and justice services to ensure holistic support for each student.
