Student opportunities and activities

Students at Shepherds Park School have access to a host of additional learning opportunities that provide authentic, hands-on experiences that complement and extend classroom learning. By engaging in practical training, creative pursuits and community-based programs, students develop valuable employability skills, build confidence and resilience, and discover personal strengths and interests. Participation in these programs also helps students strengthen their connections with industry, community organisations and positive role models, supporting successful transitions into further education, training, employment and community life.

Some of the programs currently available include: First Aid, Barista Training, Shearing, Barbering, Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), White Card, Traffic Control, Farm Vehicle Safety, Supply Chains and Logistics, Chemical Handling, Brick and Block Construction, and Music Production. Students also engage in creative and cultural experiences, including workshops and performances delivered by the Australian Theatre for Young People, fostering self-expression, leadership, teamwork and personal growth.
